GroupLink FAQs

Q

What if I can't attend my group's launch at the GroupLink event?

A

Please notify your leader and let them know that you can’t attend the launch event (GroupLink). If you do not notify your leader and you don’t attend the event, we will assume you’re no longer interested in joining the group and will release your spot to allow another person/couple the opportunity to join that group.

Q

If I have registered for a Community Group online, does that mean I have joined a group?

A

Yes. The group you register for online will be the group you’ll meet at the GroupLink launch event.

Q

I didn't see a group online that works for me. What are my next steps?

A

Please keep returning to the site as new spots in groups may continue opening daily.

Q

What happens at the launch event?

A

The launch event is GroupLink. GroupLink is a two-hour event being held at Comet Pub & Lanes in Decatur on February 26 (Men’s- and Women’s-only groups) and February 27 (Married Couple groups). You’ll meet with your new Community Group for the first time at a fun social hosted by Decatur City Church. All subsequent meetings will take place in homes.

Q

What is the difference between the launch event and a Community Group?

A

You will attend the two-hour launch event, GroupLink, to meet your new Community Group— a small groups of six married couples or 10 to 14 individuals of the same gender that meet regularly in a home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

Q

Is childcare provided at the launch event?

A

Childcare is not provided, but we do supplement (at these predetermined rates) for babysitters needed in order to attend the event.
