I was called to serve following Andy’s yearly invitation for volunteers in the spring of 2022. I think one of the main reasons I initiated my next step was because after listening and “consuming” the messages and North Point’s amazing children’s environments for my daughter, I felt compelled (even a little guilty?) to give back. I am so glad I did!

The opportunity to serve high schoolers has been a tremendous honor. Seeing young men grow in their faith—and in general—is both fascinating and rewarding. Trying to relate to people of another generation, who do not know you at first, can be frustrating.

As a retired school teacher, going back into the classroom was the last thing I thought I wanted to do. It wasn’t until God provided a few subtle nudges that I decided maybe I was wrong.

It is through the opportunity to come together as a community that I have seen, known, and experienced the fullness of God.

My faith has grown immensely during my time at Transit. I have met so many great small group leaders, and they have really been wonderful role models for me as I have grown in my faith.

I had a huge hole in my heart when I no longer had daily interaction with children, so I started volunteering in the church nursery/preschool program over 10 years ago.
